The course is designed in line with the new statutory allergy guidance being introduced from September 2026 under Benedict's Law, which strengthens protections for children with allergies in educational settings across England.
Upon completion, learners will gain the knowledge and confidence to identify allergy risks, implement preventative measures, recognise the signs and symptoms of allergic reactions, and respond appropriately in an emergency, including cases of anaphylaxis.

The course covers recognising and responding to allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, the 14 major allergens, allergy risk management, safe food practices, adrenaline auto injectors including EpiPen, Jext and nasal spray options, individual healthcare plans, and roles and responsibilities under the new Benedict's Law guidance.
It finishes with practical emergency scenarios so learners can apply what they have covered.

This is a dedicated allergy awareness course rather than a general first aid qualification. It focuses specifically on allergies and anaphylaxis.
